The Dwarf Sugar Palm is a gorgeous, small growing palm, which is clumping with several short trunks. This palm only reaches a height of around 3m, making is suitable for small & large gardens. This palm is one of the most frost hardy palms in the world, perfect for creating that tropical garden down south, or in regions which experience frost. It is native to Asia.

The beautiful feather leaves are silver underneath and has a nice bushy, round shape, growing nearly as wide as it grows tall. Flowers are fragrant.

This palm should be grown in full sun – part shade, in well draining fertile soil. Regular fertilising in the growing season is recommended with an NPK fertiliser or a specific Palm fertiliser. Regular spraying with seaweed solution will help this palm keep shiny green growth and strengthens the plant. The Dwarf Sugar Palm grows best with regular watering, especially during dry times.

Common names: Formosa Sugar Palm, Dwarf Sugar Palm, Formosa Palm

Size: Small plants, 10-20cm
