The Malay Yellow dwarf has yellow coconut fruits with light sweet flavoured water for drinking.

Dwarf Coconuts flower in their 3rd year in ideal conditions. They are suitable as indoor plants for 18-24 months. Dwarf coconuts palms are generally precocious, which means they increase in size at a slower ratebut mature early. Dwarf Coconuts are higher yielding than tall Coconuts, as fruits have been selected for larger volume-to-husk ratio. Dwarf Coconut palms are generally self-pollinating, due to the male & female flowers opening at the same time, and they grow 5-12m tall (Tall coconuts grow to 30m+).

I recently bought a classic palm pack from you and they are all very well and shooting. We babied them along in a greenhouse and did exactly as your very helpful sheet told us. I was a bit worried about them being too cold in Melbourne but so far so good. All your info was fantastic! Thank you, Avril
