The Malayan Green Dwarf Coconut Palm is a high yielding coconut. Coconuts are moderate size with large volume-to-husk ratio. Fruits are reputedly the sweetest for drinking! Dwarf Coconuts flower in their 3rd year in ideal conditions. They are suitable as indoor plants for 18-24 months. Dwarf coconuts palms are generally precocious, which means they increase in size at a slower rate but mature early. Dwarf Coconuts are higher yielding than tall Coconuts, as fruits have been selected for larger volume-to-husk ratio. Dwarf Coconut palms are generally self-pollinating, due to the male & female flowers opening at the same time, and they grow to 5-12m tall (Tall coconuts grow to 30m+).
