Ordering
Ordering through National Tropicals Nursery is very convenient. Start by selecting a category you would like to browse through, in the menu on the left hand side on the homepage, or search for a specific item by entering it into the search box. The search box is located on every page, in the top right hand corner above the main menu. You can also go straigth to our online nursery, and select a category there, or browse all plants.
You will find a list of all the plants listed in that category there, with a small picture, a price, and a summary. By clicking on either the photo, the title, or 'product details, you can view additional information such as the size of the plants, growing conditons etc. You can also add the required quantity straigth to your cart by clicking on the blue 'add to cart' button.
Sometimes, rather than an 'add to cart' button, there may be no button at all, or it may have a 'notify me' button. This means that either the product is out of stock, or it is order-in only. You can click on the 'notify me' button to be notified if anything is out of stock. You can view your cart at any time by clicking on the 'cart' button in the menu at the top of the page, next to the login button.
Any coupon codes can now be entered, and you can adjust the quantity, add, or delete items in your cart. Once you are satisfied, click 'checkout', which will take you to the next step. If you are a returning customer, you can fill in your login name and password and sign in. If you are a new customer, tick the 'new? please provide your information' box, and fill in all your details. Don't forget to read our Terms of Service, before ticking the 'I agree to the Terms of Service' box. Follow the prompts after ensure your information is correct.
Select your payment method, credit card; paypal or bank deposit, and follow the prompts. The 'security code' of your credit card are the last 3 digits on the back of the card. Your credit card transaction is processed through our secure site. If you have selected PayPal you will be taken to the paypal website where you can log in. If you have selected bank deposit, you will need to transfer the funds to our account after you send us your order. Our details are listed on the confirmation page in the checkout.
Live plants make a wonderful gift for birthdays and other occasions, and we can send your plants as a gift to someone else. Just leave us a note in checkout in the comment box. Please specify where the parcel should be sent to, and who it is from. We will also soon be offering gift vouchers and gift wrapping! Please be aware that we can’t guarantee delivery dates.
National Tropicals Nursery is an online nursery only, we do not have a retail location to visit. We can arrange pick up with you where plants are purchased and paid for in advance. Our business hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 5pm. We are closed on Monday's.
Payment
All payments are processed through our shopping cart protected by secure SSL. Payment is accepted through bank deposit, credit card and PayPal. We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

For bank deposits, please use your name or invoice number as a reference to help us identify your payment. From the time of ordering, payment is expected within 7 days. For items which are ordered in for you, payment is expected up front. Any quotes given are valid for 14 days

All plants are posted via express post unless otherwise stated. Our delivery fee is $9.95, via express post. This is a flat rate, and you can have as many plants as you like sent for this fee. This flat fee is valid unless specifically stated otherwise in the description of the product. Orders arrive overnight in most places. Places outside of main urban centres may receive their plants on Wednesday; rural areas on Thursday.
All orders are despatched on Monday. Our payment cut off time is 12pm on Sunday. Orders which are paid for BEFORE 12pm will be sent the following Monday. Orders which are paid for AFTER 12pm will be sent on Monday the week after.
We CANNOT take orders for delivery to Western Australia, Tasmania or overseas. Western Australia can receive just-sprouted coconut plants, with shoots up to 20mm tall, but availability varies and will need to be checked with us before coconuts can be purchased, and posted to Western Australia.
Being located in country Central Queensland, we are located in a very central position to supply the whole of Australia. We specifically cater for rural customers, and have many customers in remote parts of Australia, including Weipa, Groote Eiland (Thank you Alyangula customers!), Tennant Creek & Coober Pedy. Even Nhulunbuy in the Northern Territory! We thank you all for your support, and welcome all new customers from remote; and non-remote areas!
